Breaking Barriers and Bypassing Stereotypes: How Enovy Reclaimed Her Education

Meet Enovy, a determined 21-year-old who recently completed her high school diploma with Grad Solutions while working part-time. Raised in Phoenix, Arizona, she lives with her grandparents, who have been her pillars of strength and support. Her warm personality and positivity shine through as she shares her remarkable story.  

The Decision to Drop Out  

Enovy’s high school journey began on a high note. She was enrolled in all honors classes, participated in robotics, played sports, and genuinely loved school. However, a family member fell ill during her sophomore year and Enovy made the tough decision to drop out of school to work and support her family.   

Reclaiming Her Future  

After taking a three-year break from school, Enovy knew she wanted to return and complete her education. For four years, she searched for the right program to offer her needed support and flexibility. That’s when she discovered Grad Solutions. The program’s commitment to providing resources at a local HUB location, tutoring, and comprehensive support made her decision easy.

Finding Her Path with Grad Solutions  

Enovy’s success in working toward her high school diploma and finishing is a testament to the value of the HUB and tutoring at Grad Solutions. She began her coursework in January 2024 and has dedicated all her available time to her studies. As a result, Envoy achieved graduation by August! She points to the HUB and its tutoring support, unique to Grad Solutions, as instrumental contributors in her success.  

Overcoming Barriers and Thriving  

Enovy’s journey is a powerful example of how the right support can help overcome any barrier. Currently working as a nanny for a teenage girl on the autism spectrum, she has learned to connect to her struggles in a more meaningful way. Her experience at Grad Solutions taught her that with the right support, any barrier can be overcome.   

The friendships she made and the resources she accessed at the HUB played a pivotal role in her quick completion of the program. “There’s so much support and flexibility,” Enovy says. “Being able to do stuff on your own time can be tricky but very doable. Remember to believe in yourself. At GS, many people will help you believe in yourself.”  

Advice for Current Students  

Enovy offers these tips for current students:  

• Always take advantage of tutoring and talk to your instructors

• Make tutoring your best friend and spend time at a HUB location

• Focus on your studies and invest your time wisely while at GS

Looking Ahead  

Enovy is immensely proud of earning her diploma and is a role model for her siblings. Her next goal is to attend nursing school, with aspirations to join NAU, ASU, a community college, or a private institution. Thanks to the Next Step team, a group of career counselors at Grad Solutions, Enovy was able to plan her next steps, including filling out the FAFSA.  

“Stereotypes make us think we can’t do certain things, and we all have different paths, take your path in your time. For me, it took four years to get to this place. I always loved school and thrived doing it. Grad Solutions is different because of their flexibility and sincere care for students.”
